I am interested in understanding how ecological and evolutionary processes on generational time scales produce macroevolutionary patterns observable in the fossil record. I consider myself both a paleobiologist and macroevolutionary biologist.
I am a professor based at the Natural History Museum at the University of Oslo in Norway and a Research Associate at the Centre for Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis (CEES) at the same university.
I am currently a Senior Editor at Methods in Ecology and Evolution. I am also the PI of the Bryozoan Lab for Ecology, Evolution and Development (BLEED).
